I love what I do and that comes through in every conversation I have. Like many of my clients, I juggle work, parenting, marriage, community, health - the proverbial work-life balance. It's a tall order, and one to which I am constantly adapting. What I also have in common with my clients is a desire to be effective, resilient and happy - to connect meaningfully with others and make a difference in the world.
Coaching relationships are, by definition, highly intentional. The best coaches I've had were observant, candid and challenged me to move beyond my comfort zone, always setting a tone of creativity and support in our conversations. My style of coaching echoes this. My clients count on me to bring deep listening, innovative thinking and straight talk. I believe we are navigating our careers and our lives, one conversation at a time... and that what we focus on and talk about with candor sets our GPS coordinates for the future.
Prior to establishing my coaching practice, I spent 25 years in business development for professional services firms, banks, small businesses and nonprofits. For 15 years now I've been coaching CEOs, senior executives, entrepreneurs and MBA candidates. My passion is helping people get unstuck and achieve their personal or professional goals. We often focus on developing executive leadership presence, navigating difficult conversations, career transitions and time/life management. My clients lead in diverse fields including tech, health care, finance, engineering, venture, climate and nonprofits.
I certified as a Professional Coach through New Ventures West in 2010. I am a certified facilitator in Immunity to Change, DISC, Insights Discovery and Integrity Selling. I also use the Enneagram, and am still a student myself in that body of work. On the personal front: I've been happily married for 30+ years and I have two grown kids. When I'm not working, I stay grounded or clear my head with yoga, gardening or hiking near my Pacific NW home, and I take any opportunity to stop and savor sunlight on water.
